Stranger things have happened

She had known that there was something not quite right from the moment she found out she was pregnant . She could never put her finger on it though. It was a typical enough pregnancy, easier in fact than with her two older sons. The doctor had assured her the baby was healthy and growing normally. But there were little things that kept nagging at the back of her mind. Like the fact that her husband had had a vasectomy over four years ago. There were also the dreams, when she awoke from one she couldn't quite explain but there was feeling to them a feeling that something was off. All the doubts and misgivings she had vanished the second she held that perfect little baby boy for the first time. That was she thought they vanished, but now sitting across from these people, these strangers, clutching that boy to her chest, they all came flooding back to her.
These people in their robes, sandy in color for the man, white for the woman, The Ahorfandi they called themselves had shown up today while the rest of the family was out of the house. They said she could not tell anyone not even her husband about their visit or about the boy. Her boy. Her baby not even six months old!
"I still don't understand! How am I supposed to believe this. How am I going to protect him and from what?"
"We know who you are.” The man said.
“We have watched you come and go from this earth. Watched you evolve and grow stronger.” The woman said.
“we know who you are,” the man repeated. “Even if you do not.”
“we gave you this special gift,” the woman indicated the baby in her arms, “to keep safe because you were always meant to protect him. We were hoping that you would remember the truth before we needed to give him to you, but things have been set in motion that we can not stop.”
“we need to go now.” The man said getting up and looking agitated.
“wait!” Still holding her little boy tight she rose too.
“You are stronger and more powerful than you know. Listen to your dreams and that little voice inside you. They will help you discover who you are.” The woman paused, walked to the doorway then turned back. “We will meet again.”
She went to fallow them and ask them more but as she stepped outside they were gone.

  1. Oooh a sci-fi mystery!

Do you know where it's going or did you just start writing and let it go where it wants?

It's a good start, but if you're going to make something out of it, a little bit more detail would be good. I feel just a teeny bit in the dark, which I'm sure was your intent, but still. You know?

But I like it, keep going! It has potential!
