It has been a while since my last post, had some computer problems. Now I'm back and I have something new. My first poem. Please let me know what you think.
Faith & Love
My faith was rocked
Life in a tumble
love is not enough,
heard work is the stuff,
the mortar between the bricks.
My love,
My life would be nothing
My heart broken,
Unmended!
I struggle to follow you.
Do the right,
leave the wrong.
I stay so very strong,
like glass,
Shattered!
The cracks are hard to see,
I mend them well,
Time,
Perseverance,
Faith,
My light,
When will it return,
wrap me up,
keep me warm,
Stay with me,
and do no harm.
Faith,
Life,
Love,
strength in all,
the sum of effort.

ReplyDeletePoetry is something I've never gotten the hang of, so anyone who can pull it off amazes me. This was very deep, and sounds like you really put a lot of a lot into it. It seems almost dark, yet hopeful at the same time.
